1st gen custom sub box
The base of the box is exactly 3'x3'. The walls of the main sub box are 18" apart (on the outside) and 6" high (inside to inside) the sub box wall is placed 10" back from the front of the base, leaving us 8" on the back side to store stuff. The subs are indented by the width of the wood which is 5/8" to hide them under the carpet. A front angled piece was added to hold two 6.5" speakers since the stock location in the rear was now blocked off. The amp was mounted to the top of the driver side bin.
We then made a perfect fitting pattern out of thin wood and glued the carpet onto it.
What subs? We just added speakers to the front of the factory trunk cover....
